The draft laws implementing PSD2 were approved by the Government of Lithuania and passed to the Parliament for adoption only on 20 12 2017 (about a month remaining until the implementation deadline).

 

Although the Prime Minister commented that he cannot imagine the Parliament to adopt the laws by 13th January, I would not recommend to anyone to relax and postpone the preparation for the PSD2 regime. The scenario with the implementation of the Fourth Money Laundering Directive was quite similar, but nonetheless it was adopted quickly.
